Our Story
Last July 2023, Ahmed Salem and Yara Gawish from Egypt sat on the grass of Le Chateau de Bossey in Geneva and had an idea: how to drive Climatic Peace.
Through the Emerging Peacemakers Forum, they started gathering young people from different countries. Some contributed with ideas and some with actions and soon became our incredible Team. This team consist of:
Our team worked relentlessly through weekends and weekdays because they had a dream: to create an intercultural, interfaith climatic peace movement.

Our Vision
Our vision is to annually see the youth of multi-faith backgrounds come together to create and implement multiple Peace Climate initiatives to help combat the harmful effects of climate change and create a more environmentally conscious world, both in word and in action.

Our mission is to inspire, educate, train and mobilize young individuals annually to take proactive measures in combating climate change and promoting sustainability.

What we aspire?
We envision a generation of young leaders who will be at the forefront of sustainable development and peace building.
Who can Join us?
The Foundation is open to young people studying or working in the field faith, religious leaders in-training with an interest in the environment, community or climate activists, early career professionals, and those in the non-governmental sector working on climate change.
Participants entering the program should:
- be between the ages of 18 to 30 (required).
- have acquired or be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
- A degree in environment, religious studies, philosophy, or any number of relevant fields is preferred (not obligatory). Equally, relevant work experience (paid, volunteer, internships, etc.) are also considered.
- An established local network (social, professional, religious, etc.) or willingness to mobilize accessible local network,
- A keen interest in learning about the interplay of religious beliefs and environmental stewardship
- Commitment to lead a faith-based climate action project,
- Good communication skills and fluency in English.
- A strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and interfaith cooperation.
