October 11-12, 2024 – Tolip Hotel, Cairo
In a decisive step toward equipping the next generation with the skills to combat climate change, the Eco-Leaders Training Program gathered 70 motivated young leaders for a two-day intensive workshop held at Cairo’s Tolip Hotel. The event, conducted on October 11-12, was organized to build capacity among youth passionate about environmental stewardship, aiming to transform this enthusiasm into actionable, impactful community initiatives.
The program was honored by the presence of Mr. Mostafa Ezz el-Arab, Associate Minister of Youth and Sports, who emphasized the critical role young leaders play in addressing the climate crisis and creating resilient, sustainable communities. His remarks underscored the Ministry’s support for empowering youth through knowledge and skill-building initiatives such as this, particularly in the wake of growing climate challenges.
Throughout the two days, participants engaged in a series of dynamic, interactive sessions. These included hands-on workshops and in-depth discussions on climate science, advocacy, public speaking, community engagement, and project management. Each session aimed to equip the youth with tools they could immediately apply within their communities, transforming their passion for the environment into real, measurable change.
By the end of the program, participants left with the confidence and skills needed to lead their own initiatives, ready to inspire others in their communities to join in the effort for a more sustainable world. The Eco-Leaders Training Program is more than just a workshop; it is part of a broader movement to cultivate a generation of informed, proactive climate leaders.
